Dr. Kaanti Gowru, or “Dr. K,” is a board-certified pediatric dentist and maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. K is originally from Austin, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin (Go Longhorns!). She obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) with high honors at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. K then earned her Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan.
Dr. K loves working with children because of their enthusiasm and imagination. She firmly believes that a fun and positive dental visit can have a lasting impact on a child’s overall health and self-esteem. Her goal is for every child to leave the office feeling more confident in their smile and in themselves.
In her free time, Dr. K loves exploring the city of Chicago. She is an avid sports fan, especially basketball and football. She also enjoys baking, cooking, and trying new cuisines. Dr. K can’t wait to meet you!
